Outside Services Assistant

The Outside Services Assistant is responsible for providing carts and range balls for Members and guests while keeping all work areas clean, orderly, and safe. Responsibilities

  • Deliver carts from the cart barn(s) to the daily staging area
  • Ensure golf carts are clean, safe, and properly prepared with a towel, full sand bottle, pencil, scorecard, and tees.
  • Perform periodic cart maintenance and special repair
  • Assist Members and Guest as they depart from the facility
  • Work with Golf Shop staff to ensure that all club rules including dress code and beverage policies are followed by the Members and Guests.

The Player Development Professional partners
with the Head Golf Professional and is responsible for creating a culture of
improvement at the Club to generate increased levels of participation in social
practice and learning programs amongst the Members and amongst prospective Members
and golfers to increase member value and appeal of the Club to prospects (Members
and golfers) with the goal of improved retention, increasing participation and
contributing to the development of a more vibrant and enjoyable golf community.


Responsibilities

  • Management of a personal care group of allocated golfers responsible for their retention, activation, and participation.   
  • Execution of player development activities (this includes coaching and any other improvement activity, engagement events including accompanied play, assessments, fittings, active marketing events and engagements, non-traditional golf events such as a short-game challenge).
  • Creation and management of a new membership pipeline including management of the conversion to member
  • Improvement of golfers’ playing performance through coaching and fitting
  • Sourcing or design and then the management of junior and new golfer coaching programs
  • Creation and management of improvement programs, clinics, and coaching
  • Design and management of social and group practice, improvement, and learning programs with minimum numbers participating
  • Design and creation of golfing and active marketing events. 

Job Requirements

– 3+ years as Golf Professional

– High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.   

– PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion preferred

– Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills required

– Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Tennis Shop Staff

The Tennis Pro Shop Staff is responsible for promoting the game of tennis and the club while providing the Three Steps of Service to the Members and guests of the club. Responsible for providing quality service, and assisting with the tennis shop operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the pro shop, accurately ringing up charges at the register and properly checking in all tennis players prior to play. This also includes proper cash handling procedures as well as making sure that all standards of operations are being met.
  • Respond to inquiries, lessons and court reservations for Members and guests both in person and on the phone. Converse with Members and guests in a friendly manner. Focus your attention on Members and guests needs and remain calm, professional and courteous at all times, even when under pressure.
  • Take care of returned merchandise and issuing proper credit to customer.
  • Help keep tennis shop neat and clean at all times, sell merchandise.
  • Perform close of business functions following guidelines and procedures established by the Club.
  • Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.
  • Notify supervisor of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Rectify, practicing service recover, any complaints as soon as possible.
  • Must be able to interact with Members/Guests professionally, helping them with changes and last minute requests as needed.

The Marshall/Starter is responsible for enforcing all club rules pertaining to golf as well as providing assistance to the Members/Guests in order to keep play at an even flow.
  • Responsible for being the golf course at all times, unless checking with the starters or golf shop for messages. 
  • Assist the Members whenever possible by looking for lost balls, providing rides if desired, and giving suggestions on proper golf course etiquette. 
  • Responsible for enforcing all club rules as they pertain to the golf course. 
  • Maintain a polite manner whenever a member is approached for a violation. 
  • Responsible for fixing ball marks whenever possible, fill divots with topsoil and pick up loose articles on the golf course, straightening cart guidance ropes and their supports. 
  • Responsible for handling violations at the end of the shift. This includes turning in the security report that lists all violations and incidents that he handled during his shift. 
  • Check-in periodically with the golf shop staff to obtain a list of single rider carts. If there is a discrepancy, check the records in the golf shop again, make a copy of the ticket, and attach it to the security report. Allow the golf shop or starter to make the new charge for the full fee.

Must have flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, afternoons and weekends.
