The Capital City Club team is seeking to bring on a Private Events Director that is responsible for the selling, planning, and coordinating of all aspects of private event and meeting functions held within the Club. They prepare a quarterly game plan and are responsible for achieving their budgeted sales plan. The Private Events Director fosters relationships with Members, individuals, and corporations who book events so as to maintain a catalog of repeat business while prospecting for new events. Additionally, they will promote the Club locally via bridal shows and other public events, which heighten awareness within the community. Generating a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals
Responsible for selling all private functions, including meeting with the clients to determine needs, meeting those needs, and exceeding their expectations through detailed communication
Networking inside and outside the Club to obtain “leads” and build relationships with new and existing clients
Provide accurate forecasting of private event sales to properly execute the Club’s business plan
Ensure all services administered to Club Members and their guests are consistent with the expected level of service
Attendance at all required Food and Beverage Meetings, Employee Partner Meetings, and Department Head Meetings scheduled both within the club and outside the club
Work with the Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director to establish profitable and competitive private event menus that meet clients’ needs
Professional appearance maintained by self and all private event personnel
Work closely with the Membership Department in obtaining information on new Members and their needs through New Member telephone calls
Participate in New Member Connect and 12-month Retention Strategy programs

– Four years of experience as a Catering/Private Events Director within fine dining or upscale private dining establishment
– Solid understanding of banquet revenue generation
– Proven track record of sales performance along with marketing/prospecting programs that drive event revenue
– Proven ability in leadership, communication, and negotiating skills
– Creative menu development skills
– High energy and outgoing personality
– Organizational skills and attention to detail
– Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, and Excel

The Bartender is responsible for providing the highest quality of beverage production and service to our Members and guests. In addition to supporting all Club venues, events, and fellow Employee Partners, the Bartender maintains the bar, service areas, and related storerooms.
Follow proper procedures for stocking and cleaning bar area
Ensure opening and closing duties are performed to ensure bar readiness at all times
– Previous bartending experience required
– A working knowledge of bar related beverages, spirits, mixed and specialty drinks, wine and beer
– Alcohol Intervention and Coach Certified (C.A.R.E)

The Dishwasher is responsible for duties such as cleaning dishes, cleanliness of kitchen, food preparation, organization, sanitation, and production of food items, as well as closing and storage for individual work station as needed. Preparation of and storage of all food items necessary to operate kitchen in adherence with our quality standards. Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the Steps of Service.
Sweep and mop kitchen floors, walk-ins, storerooms, and employee locker room, etc. as directed
Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef’s when special products are needed or having problems with equipment and tools
Participate as a member of the Heart of House team
– Any previous experience in stewarding or kitchen prep is favorable
The Banquet Server is responsible for providing food and beverage STAR Service to Members/Guests ensuring satisfaction, Member retention, and coordinating with the other Club departments. Maintain service standards as outlined in the Hospitality First training program at high standards. Complete and comprehensive knowledge of the menu is mandatory, including daily features and specials that may not be available directly on the menu. Accurately execute Member/guest orders and requests in a timely fashion. Know Members names and greet them promptly in a manner to provide a warm welcome and making them feel at home. Assist fellow Employee Partners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team. Responsible for possessing clear knowledge of all various liquors, beer and wines available by the Club.
– Previous food and beverage server experience preferred
The Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to Members and guests, thus ensuring satisfaction and Member retention. They are responsible for greeting Members and guests promptly while always exhibiting a high level of hospitality. Servers must have a passion for hospitality and Member satisfaction.

Complete and comprehensive knowledge of the menu and various liquors, beer, and wines available by the Club

The Cook is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of culinary services for our Members and guests. They supports a la carte and private event food production while maintaining consistent food preparation and plate presentation for a la carte venues and catered events. The Cook also helps to ensure the safety of fellow Employee Partners.
