Tournament Sales Director
Located in Frisco, just north of Dallas, Stonebriar Country Club features two 18-hole golf courses, set against a picturesque backdrop and a beautiful clubhouse. The Club provides the ideal setting for golf tournaments and outings of all sizes. From planning to preparation, we are looking to add a Tournament Sales Director to our team, to provide personalized service and help take care of the details to ensure our guests enjoy the private club experience. The Tournament Sales Director is responsible for achieving the Annual Sales Plan for outside tournaments/outings through organized sales, prospecting, and marketing programs.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Golf, Head Pros, and Director of Operations to establish profitable tournament/private event packages that meet the needs of large, closed-day events or small, non-peak time events
- Monitor and report on Member and/or Member host satisfaction of tournaments/private events
- Work with the Golf Director to successfully plan and implement member golf events
- Develop and maintain a sufficient prospect inventory to ensure ongoing contact with the existing client base. Maintain a minimum of 10 – 20 “A: prospects that will book within 90 days
- Maintain a minimum of 100 leads that are in the process of qualifying as a prospect
- Analyzes the requirements of the function and decides type of service necessary; deciding on prices with the Director of Operations and Director of Golf and closes the sale where necessary with proposal; draws up contract, procures client’s signature, and collects necessary deposit
- Must return all Member and Non-Member phone calls and emails within 24 hours. Be able to independently solve problems of hosts and guests with golf needs. Keep the Director of Operations informed of Member issues and concerns
- Works with the Director of Operations and Director of Golf to review goals and a plan of how to achieve them. This meeting will include review of Tournament/Private Event Sales Forecasts and upcoming prospecting focus, plus review of Prospect Inventory and Sales Booking Reports
- Design and market Special Prospecting Projects to bring in more business and implements any other marketing programs increasing prospecting base
- Conducts weekly sales/operations meeting with the Director of Operations and Director of Golf to review clients wants/needs and overall operational flow of events plus distribute individual function sheets complete with function details as needed to ensure timely and accurate communication with other departments
- Provide a “Warm Welcome” for Tournament Hosts and Guests upon their arrival to the Club
- Network within the local community to establish relationships with key contacts to help promote the prestige of the Club
- Works closely with Membership Department in referring prospects for Membership and obtaining information on new Members and their needs
- Maintains the integrity and prestige of the club by adherence to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, and oral instructions
- Completes a competitive analysis of the local community on an annual basis
- Be visible in the Club during peak operating hours. Meet and greet Members and guests as needed at private functions and at appropriate Club events
- Must complete and maintain STAR program (Private Event Director Bell Notes)

Job Requirements:
- Two years commissioned sales experience preferred
- Two years of golf tournament sales experience
- College degree preferred
