Beverage Cart Attendant

Responsible for Building Relationships and Enriching Lives by providing STAR Service to Members and Guests ensuring their complete satisfaction while playing on the golf course or other designated areas. Day to Day:

  • Maintain excellent FB service standards as outlined in ClubCorps FB service standard guidelines and other training programs.
  • Offer Members and guests the opportunity to obtain and enjoy food and beverage while in the process of playing golf or enjoying other events. Know and follow the rules of golf etiquette when approaching a golf group at all times.
  • Greet Members promptly by name and make introductions with guests, maintaining a polite and friendly manner at all times, in order to provide high quality service in a timely manner.
  • Provide timely coverage of assigned course, anticipating visits to each group every 4-5 holes while maintaining communication with other attendants and management to ensure adequate coverage as needed.
  • Offer to dispose of trash and empties to assist the Members and guests to maintain a consistent and clean environment. Assist in other ways such as directions to the restroom, club house, etc. Be super knowledgeable.
  • Prior to departing onto the courses for service, stock cart with food, beverage, ice, etc. and transaction supplies.
  • Collect payments (i.e., cash, member charge, etc.) and accurately reconcile daily bank at the conclusion of each shift. Process all business for the day and deposit in designated area.
  • Request and restock in a timely manner to ensure proper par levels that allow for consistent and quality service.
  • Maintain proper knowledge of product, up selling where applicable. When possible, know which Members and guests are on the course by consulting tee sheets, attending line-ups, etc. and create magic moments with favorites.
  • Operate golf carts within guidelines, policies and procedures to ensure proper safety to avoid accidents.
  • Safely secure all products on cart including cash bank, keys, etc. and other company property as assigned.
  • Document all spills and waste of product &ndash daily par versus usage sheets.
  • Clean and sanitize the cart of all food, ice, and trash at the end of each shift. Ensure health code standards are met at all times.
  • Communicate with Service/FB Director when special products are needed or there are any problems with food quality, supplies or presentation.

  5. Ensure all expense control systems are in place with close monitoring of all department expenses including revenue to payroll ratio. Ensure appropriate forecasting systems are utilized.
  6. Maintain exceptional Member Relations and facilities by creating a quality environment through staffing, programming, service operations, and maintenance.
  7. Actively market Club Memberships, Member services and facilities to attract new Members and achieve revenue objectives.

Identify programming opportunities for Member events in all operational areas, i.e., food beverage, /golf/tennis/athletic and other recreational facilities, as applicable, that satisfy on-going Member needs and implement to achieve revenue objectives. Actively utilize Member Committees and the Board of Governors.
  9. Develop departmental sales plan, in conjunction with the Department Heads and Regional Staff, including specific tactics for revenue generation. Motivate sales staff to achieve revenue goals per departmental sales plan by conducting weekly sales meetings. Involve all club personnel in generating revenue through constant communication on the importance of continuous income stream. Research and analyze current and future market areas, and develop sales strategy based on data.
  10. Monitor Member attrition. Develop action plans to curtail Member attrition and maintain it at the lowest possible level. Personally contacting resigning Member to ascertain the reasons for resigning, with documentation.
  11. Works with the Director of GCM/Superintendent to ensure quality of course, maintaining of budget and compliance to company standards, as well as environmental regulation compliance.
  12. Ensure that the club meets all debt and lease term obligations, as applicable. Fiduciary responsibility to ensure that the club meets all contractual obligations.
  13. Ensure the club is not placed in a position of liability by acts of negligence or poor management decisions.
  14. Completing all required financial and administrative reporting/audits accurately and on time through the Office Administrator (OA) and/or Regional Accounting Manager (RAM). Assuring all accounting practices are in compliance with GAAP and ClubCorps established accounting policies and procedures.
  15. Directing the OA to effectively manage accounts receivable and collections. Assist with collections that escalate to suspension.
  16. Responsible for managing and setting the expectations that Department Heads will identify and develop employee development plans in all departments for career advancement through the use of performance review systems, cross training, and goal setting.
  17. Coordinating the People Strategy needs from each Club operating area into an organized, well-defined human resources plan which identifies recruiting and placement targets, specific actions to address developmental needs, recognition and training objectives
  18. Recruit, select, develop and continually evaluate a qualified staff of Department Heads to understand the relationships between value, Member Satisfaction and Member retention/attrition, while achieve departmental revenue objectives and net margins.

Responsible for providing food and beverage STAR Service to Members and Guests while consistently displaying the Three Steps of Service at every opportunity. Work closely and coordinate with other team members to ensure Member/Guest satisfaction and retention.

This position reports directly to the FB Director, Service Director, and Banquet Manager with indirect reporting to the Private Events Director, Captain, and General Manager.

Day to Day:

  • Maintain ClubCorp service standards as outlined in the FB Service training program(s) at high standards
  • Responsible for food and beverage service to Members and guests, adhering to the ClubCorp standards of service.
  • Complete and comprehensive knowledge of the a la carte menu is mandatory, including daily features and specials that may not be available directly on the menu.
  • Accurately execute Member/Guest orders and requests in an attentive and timely fashion.
  • Know Member names and greet them promptly while providing a warm welcome making them feel at home.
  • Ensure daily assignments and side work is complete in respective areas to meet Club standards. Consistantly sanitize work areas, refill/stock containers and supplies, etc.).
  • Assist fellow Employees, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the Three Steps of Service without being directed. Be aware of team members and the environment and participate as a member of the team.
  • Notify management of Member/Guest complaints at the time they occur. Practice good service recovery by rectifying any complaints as soon as possible.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the FB Director, Service Director, Private Events Director, etc.
  • Possess clear knowledge of all various liquors, beer and wines available at the Club.
  • Must be able to interact with Members/Guests professionally, helping them with changes and last minute requests as needed.
